Explanation:

No. of moles = Given mass/ Molar mass

a) Molar mass of Helium = 4g

So, no. of moles in 52g of He ,

n = 52/4

n = 13 moles

b) Molar mass of CO2 = (12 + 2×16) g

= 44g

So, no. of moles in 44g of CO2 ,

n = 44/44

n = 1 mole

Explanation:

1. n = G.m/MM

So, n = 52/4 ( He = 4 )

n = 13

Same formula

2. n = 44/44 ( C = 12, O = 16 )

n = 1
