Explanation:

We know gram atomic mass of an element is equal to one mole

So, 16g oxygen(atom) =1mole of oxygen atom otherwise 32g(if molecule o2)

1g oxygen = 1/16 moles

SO, 8g oxygen = 1/16*8 = 8/16 = 1/2 = 0.5 moles

Explanation:

no of moles

 \frac{given \: mass}{molar \: mass} \\ for \: oxygen \\ = \frac{8}{16} \\ = 0.5moles \\ for \: helium = \frac{52}{4} \\ = 13moles
