Answer:

(I)no. of moles = given mass/molecular mass

no. of moles = 8g/2[O]

no. of moles = 8g/2[16g]

no. of moles = 8g/32g

no. of moles = 1/4 moles

1 mole= 6.022 * 10²³ atom

1/4 mole = ?

0.25 mole = 0.25 * 6.022 * 10²³ atoms

= 1.5 * 10²³ atoms

(ii) no. of moles= given mass/gram atomic mass

n = 46g/24g

n = 23g/12g

n = 1.9 moles

1 mole = 6.022 * 10²³ atoms

1.9 moles = 1.9 * 6.022 * 10²³

= 11.4 * 10²³ atoms
