The molar mass of NH3 is 17g. Therefore we will first calculate the number of moles in 34mg (or 0.034 g) of ammonia.

Number of moles in 0.034 g of NH3 = mass / molar mass

= 0.034 / 17 = 0.002 moles

Now 1 mole of NH3 = 6.023 X 1023 molecules of NH3

Therefore 0.002 moles of NH3 = 0.002 X 6.023 X 1023 molecules of NH3

= 1.2046 X 1021 molecules of NH3

Now 1 molecule of NH3 contains 10 protons (7 from nitrogen and 3 from hydrogen).

Therefore 1 molecule of ammonia = 10 protons

and 1.2046 X 1021 molecules of ammonia = 1.2046 X 1021 X 10 = 1.2046 X 1022 protons
