Acceleration (a) = v-u/t
= 0.25-0.85/0.05
= -0.6/0.05 m/s²
= -12 m/s²
Retardation = 12 m/s²
Opposing force = ma
= 5*12 N
= 60 N

force = mass × (-(Final velocity - initial velocity) )/ time taken
force = 5 × (-0.25+0.85)/0.03
=5 × (0.6)/(0.03)
