Answer:

Osmotic pressure = 745 Pa

Explanation:

Urea and sugar are soluble in water. Let us assume that the molecules could not pass through a semi-permeable membrane. The molecule that can pass through this membrane will be water.

Π = Osmotic pressure = C(solute) * R T

   R = 8.314

   C(solute) = Molecular concentration of solutes

   T = temperature = 293 °K

Let the volume of Urea and sugar are negligible in solution due to low concentration.

In 200 ml, we have

   Solute= 3.4 / 60 moles of Urea + 1.6 /342 moles of sugar

                = 0.061 moles

                = 0.061 * 1000 /200  = 0.306 M

As sugar and Urea are not Ionic, the concentration will not be multiplied by any factor.

Osmotic pressure = 0.306 * 8.314 * 293

                                   = 745 Pa
