\% \: composition \: of \: any \: element \: in \: a \: particular \: compound \:   \\  \\  =  \frac{mass \: of \: the \: element \: in \: that \: compond \times 100}{molecular \: weight \: of \: the \: compound}  \\  \\ \% \: of \: sodium \: in \: sodium \: hydroide \:  =  \frac{23 \times 100}{40}  = 57.5\%
