Answer:

to find the %of oxygen in Al Sulphate we have to deternine the molar mass of aluminum sulphate

the atomic masses are(Al) is 27, (S) 32 and (O) 16 respectively.

thus molar mass is

2*27+3*32+4*3*16=342 gm/mole

mass contributed by oxygen=4*3*16=192gm

%contibition of oxygen=mass of oxygen/total mass of compound *100

=192/342*100

=56.14%
