Answer:

The percentage of radiation absorbed = (100 - 1)% = 99%

Explanation:

We know that the absorbance rate is given by :

Absorbance, a  = 2 - log₁₀ (t)

where, t =  the percentage of the radiation transmitted.

Now, it is given to us that :

a = 2

Therefore, 2 = 2 - log₁₀ (t)

or, log₁₀ (t) = 0

or, t = 10⁰ = 1

hence the percentage of radiation transmitted  = 1%

Therefore, the percentage of radiation absorbed = (100 - 1)% = 99%

Rate of absorbance :

It is basically defined as the logarithmic ratio if the incident radiated power to that of the transmitted radiant power in samples or through samples.
