To Find:

Solution:

The Schwarzchild Radius is calculated as - 2GM/ c²

Calculating mass of the sun -

Mo = 2 × 10`30 kg

Mass of M87 = 7.2 × 10`9 Mo

Thus,

= 7.2 × 10`9 × 2 × 10^30

= 1.44 × 10`40 kg

Substituting in 2GM/ c²

 = 2 × 6.67 × 10`-11 × 1.44 × 10`40 / 9  × 10`18

 = 2.134 × 10`11 m

Converting to AU = 6.68 × 10`-12m ( By using 1m)

Rs = 2.134 × 10^11 × 6.68 × 10`-12

=  1.563 AU

Answer: The Schwarzchild Radius of M87 is 1.563 AU
