Calculate the potential difference across the ends of a wire of 4 ohm when a current of 2.5 A passes through it.

Answer:

V=IR.

SO I is given= 2.5

and

Resistance=4 ohm

so V= 2.5 *4

=10V

Resistance of wire = 4Ω

Current flow in wire = 2.5A

We have to find potential difference across the end of wire.

Ohm's law :

As per ohm's law, Current passing through conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference.

Formula : V = I × R

  • V is potential difference
  • I is current
  • R is resistance

➝ V = I × R

➝ V = 2.5 × 4

V = 10 volt
