To find

Potential difference between A and B.

Concept

Point B and C are at same potential. This is because,BC is perpendicular to electric field and equipotential surfaces are perpendicular to electric field. Also, Potential decreases in the direction of electric field, hence B is at higher potential than A.

Solution

B and C are at same potential.

Thus, potential difference between A and B = Electric field × distance

= E × d

Hence, Potential difference between A and B is Ed and B is at higher potential.
