Answer:

When ball is at rest it will only have Potential Energy that is,

P.E=mgh

m= 2 kg;h=5 m

P.E=2×10×5=100J

This is the total energy as K.E is zero when the ball is at maximum height that is when it is at 5 m. Hence when the ball reaches the ground P.E  becomes zero because of zero height.At this point,the total energy is equal to the  K.E  that is K.E=100J.

Answer

The potential energy stored in the metal ball at a height of 15 mtrs= 11760 Watts

The potential energy stored in the metal ball on ground = 0 Watt

Explanation:

we know,

potential energy= (mass of body)* (acceleration due to gravity)*(the height of the body)

hence when the body is at a height of 15mtrs

potential enery= 80kg * 15 mtrs * 9.8 m/s^2

                         = 11760 Watts

when the body is on ground

height of the body= 0 mtrs

hence potential energy = 80kg * 0 mtrs * 9.8 m/s^2 =0 watt
