answer os 0.5

Explanation:

we know that Z=V/I

=240/5

=48 ohms

therefore PF cos(phi) =R/Z

=24/48

=0.5

Answer: Answer for the above question is 0.5KW

Explanation:

Given: V=240V

            I=5A

            R=24ohm

The ratio between Active Power and Apparent  Power in volts-amperes  is called Power factor.

PF = (Active Power)/(Apparent power)

Active Power = I^2*R

        A1 = 5^2*24

        A1= 25*24

        A1 = 600W

Apparent power = V*I

       A2 = 240*5

       A2 = 1200VA

PF=A1/A2

PF=600/1200

PF = 0.5KW
