Answer :-

  • The power of the water pump is 500W.

Explanation:

To Find :-

  • The power of the water pump

Solution:

Given that,

  • Acceleration due to gravity = 10m/
  • Mass = 50kg
  • Height = 10m

So,

Workdone = mgh,

Where,

  • m = Mass
  • g = Acceleration due to gravity
  • h = Height

=> Workdone = m × g × h

=> 50 × 10 × 10

=> 500 × 10

=> 5000

Therefore, The Workdone by the water pump is 5000J. Now,

According the question,

The power of the water pump is,

As we know that,

P = W ÷ t,

Where,

  • P = Power
  • W = Workdone
  • t = Time taken

=> Power = Workdone ÷ Time taken

=> Power = 5000 ÷ 10

=> Power = 500

Hence,

  • The power of the water pump is 500W.
