We have to calculate the power of lens when the focal length of the convex is infinity.

solution : power of lens is inverse of focal length in metre. unit of power of lens is Dioptre.

i.e., power of lens = 1/focal length (in m)

here given, focal length of convex lens is infinity.

i.e., focal length = ∞ = 1/0

now power of lens = 1/∞ = 1/(1/0) = 0 × 1/1 = 0

Therefore the power of lens will be zero if the focal length is infinity.
