GIVEN :-

  • Force = 1000N
  • Area of contact = 1 m².

TO FIND :-

  • The pressure.

SOLUTION :-

 \implies \boxed{ \boxed{ \red{ \bf \: pressure \: (p) =  \dfrac{thrust(F)}{Area(A)} }}}

➠ Now substitute the values ,

 \to \rm \:  \dfrac{1000 \: N}{1 \: m^{2} }  \\  \\  \to \rm \: 1000 \: N \: m ^{ - 2}  \\  \\  \red{ \to \bf \: pressure \:(p)  = 1000 \: pascal}

Hence the pressure is 1000 Pascal.

EXTRA INFORMATION :-

Pressure :- The perpendicular force (thrust) acting per unit area of the surface .

➠ S.I unit of pressure is Pascal

➠ S.I unit of force is Newton (N).

➠ S.I unit of area is m².

➠ factors on which pressure depends .

⭑Amount of force applied.

⭑ Area over which force acts.

➠ Pressure is directly proportional to thrust acting on surface .

➠ Pressure inversely proportional to area of surface .

➠ pressure is directly proportional to depth
