Answer:

Pressure, in the physical sciences, the perpendicular force per unit area, or the stress at a point within a confined fluid. ... In SI units, pressure is measured in pascals; one pascal equals one newton per square metre. Atmospheric pressure is close to 100,000 pascals.

Answer:

Since pressure=Force/Area

when it is placed upright its length and breadth will be 10 & 5 respectively

so area=10*5=50cm2=

0.005m2

Pressure=2.5N/0.005m2

=500N m-2

in case b it is placed on widest base i.e. 25cm

so area =25*10=2500cm2

=0.25m2

Pressure=2.5/0.25=10N m-2
