Calculate the pressure exerted by a brick, which applies a force of 2.5 N, when (a) It is placed upright on the soil (b) When it is placed on its widest base The length, breadth and height of the brick are 25cm, 10cm & 5 cm respectively.

(a) Pressure= force/area
     Area= 25*10=250sq. cm=2.5sq. m
     Pressure=2.5/2.5= 1 Pa
(b) widest base= 25*10=250sq. cm=2.5sq. m
     Pressure=2.5/2.5= 1 Pa
