Correct Question :-

  • A force of 120 N acting on an area of 3 meter square

To find :-

  • Pressure exerted

Solution :-

  • Force = 120N

  • Area = 3m²

As we know that

→ Pressure = F/A

Where " F " is force and " A " is area.

According to the question

→ Pressure = Force/Area

Put the value of F and A

→ Pressure = 120/3

→ Pressure = 40 Pa

Hence,

  • Pressure exerted is 40 Pa

Extra Information :-

  • S.I unit of pressure is Pascal (Pa)

  • S.I unit of Force is Newton (N)

  • S.I unit of area is m²

  • 1m² = 10000cm²

☯️ Given :-

  • Force acted = 120 Newton.

  • Area = 3m².

☯️ To Find :-

  • Pressure Exerted.

☯️ Solution :-

We know that,

Force = Pressure × Area.

Now, We Can Say,

Pressure = Force/Area.

Substituting their values,

➝ Pressure = 120/3.

➝ Pressure = 40 Pa.

Hence, Pressure Exerted = 40 Pa.
