Explanation:

f=450 N

area= 50 cm²

=50/10000 m²

=1/200 m²

pressure=force/area

=450÷1/200

=90000 Pa

=9x10⁴ pa

Given

  • Force applied = 450 N
  • Area of dimension is 10 cm by 5 cm.

To find

  • Pressure exerted by object

Solution

From the given data we have ;

Force (F) = 450 N

Area (A) = 10 cm by 5 cm

= (10 × 5) cm²

= 50 cm²

= (50/10000) m²

= 5 × 10-⁰³ m²

Now we know that,

→ Pressure (P) = Force(F)/Area(A)

Substituting values,

→ P = 450/(5 × 10-⁰³)

→ P = 90000 P

P = 9 × 10 P

Therefore,

Pressure exerted by object = 90000 P or 9 × 10 Pascals.
