The applied Force is 2.5N
Dimensions of the brick is 25cm*10cm*5cm

We know Pressure=Force/Area
When it is placed upright=dimensions are 10cm*5cm
Area will be 50 square cm
In square metres=0.005 square metres.

Therefore,Pressure=2.5/0.005
Pressure=500Pa

When it's placed on the widest base

Dimensions are 25cm*10cm
Area of the base will be 250cm
Therefore,Pressure=2.5/0.025
Pressure=100 Pa

Komalalit14: ji
Komalalit14: multiply 10 into 5 why didn't we multiply 25 into 10 raise a very much confused in any confusion please help me in this
hbp77as: As the dimensions of the base will differ when u place it differently.
