GIVEN

Weight of boy =40 kg

dimension of one sho = 6 cm and 25 cm

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

===> Area of shoe = 25cm ×6 cm =150 cm ^2

===> Pressure = Thrust/Area in contact

===>Human has two legs, so double area in contact

WORKING

Area of one shoe = 150 cm ^2

Area of two shoes = 300 cm^2

SOLUTION

Thrust On ground = 40 kg✓✓

Area in contact = 300 cm^2

CONVERSION

We know 1 cm^2 = 10^-4 m^2

So 300 cm^2 = (3×10^2×10^-4) m^2

=0.03 m^2✓✓

and

1 kg =9.8 N approx

==> So 40 kg =392✓✓

CALCULATION

By formula of pressure

We write,

Pressure = Thrust/ area in contact

=392/0.03. N/m^2

=13,066.667N

Answer-- Pressure applied is equal to 13066.667 Newton approx
