ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Force (F) = 800N
  • Area (A) = 20m²

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Pressure (P)

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that ,

→ Pressure = Force/Area

→ Pressure = 800/20

→ Pressure = 80/2

→ Pressure = 40 N/m²

Hence,

  • Pressure produced = 40N/m²

Pressure—the effect of a force applied to a surface—is a derived unit, obtained from combining base units. The unit of pressure in the SI system is the pascal (Pa), defined as a force of one Newton per square meter.

{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \purple{ \sf{ \: \: \: Pressure = \frac{Force}{Area} \: \: }}}}}

{ \dagger{ \bold{ \green{ \: \: \: GIVEN }}}}

{ \blue{ \sf{ Force \: = \: 800 \: N}}} \\ \\ { \blue{ \sf{Area \: = 20 \: {m}^{2} }}}

⛦ substituting the given values in the formula...

{ \red{ \sf{ Pressure = \frac{800 \: N}{20 \: {m}^{2} } }}}

{ \implies{ \red{ \sf{Pressure = 40 \: N \: {m}^{ - 2} }}}}
