Plz follow kar do

Radius \ of \ orbit \ = 0.529(\frac{n^{2} }{Z}) Å

Here n = 1

Z = 3

Radius \ of \ orbit \ = 0.529(\frac{1 }{3}) = 0.176 Å

Structure of atom

Answer :

We have to find radius of K shell of Li^{+2} ion.

⧪ As per Bohr's model of atom, Radius of stationary state of hydrogen-like species is given by

  • r = (0.53 × n²/Z) Å

n denotes principal quantum number

Z denotes atomic number

★ For K shell, n = 1

★ Atomic number of lithium (Z) = 1

Putting the values, we get

➳ r = 0.53 × n²/Z

➳ r = 0.53 × (1)²/3

➳ r = 0.53/3

r = 0.176 Å

Cheers!
