Calculate the ratio in which the line joining is (6, 5 )and b, (4,- 3) is divided by the line y is equals to 2

-3k+5/k+1 =2

-3k+5 = 2k+2

-5k = -3

k= 3/5

Y=2 divides line in ratio 3:5

Let the ratio = n:1


Now...


According to section formula...


-3n+5 ÷ n+1 =2


-3n+5 =2n+2


-5n=-3


5n=3


n=3:5
