Hey mate here is the answer to your question

In questiion the 4g of oxygen

And 3g of hydrogen is given

Now we take our avrg kinetic energy formula as:

Avrg  K.E= 2/3 kT

As H2 =2 moles

And oxygen= 32 moles

We get as:

3/2 = 1.5

4/32 = 0.125

So ratio gives 1.5:0.125

Hope this answer will be helpful

  • Since the temperature is same for the two gases,we can write the ratio of kinetic energies is in the moles of {H2}: moles of {O2}.
  • \frac{3g ofH2}{2g m^-1}:\frac{4g ofO2}{32g mol^-1}=\frac{3}{2}:\frac{1}{8}={12:1}.
