Mass of  bullet ( m ) = 20 g  

Mass of  bullet ( m ) = 20 / 1000 kg => 1 / 50 kg

Mass of gun ( M )  = 5 kg

Velocity of bullet ( v )  = 150 m / sec

Let recoil velocity of a gun = V m / sec

From linear conversation of we know

\displaystyle{m_1v_1=m_2v_2}

Here

M × V = m × v

putting values we get

5 kg × V  = 1 / 50 kg × 150

5 V =  3

V = 3 / 5 m / sec

V = 0.6 m / sec

Thus  recoil velocity of a gun is 0.6 m / sec .
