To Find:

The relative density of honey and spirit.

Solution :

The density of spirit = 780 kg / m^3

The density of honey = 1420 kg / m^3

The relative density of spirit = ( density of spirit ) /  ( density of water )

                                               = 780 / 1000

                                               = 0.78

The relative density of honey = ( density of honey ) / ( density of water )

                                                 = 1420 / 1000

                                                 = 1.42

The relative density of honey is 1.42 and the relative density of spirit is 0.78 .

Data one should know to solve this question :

Density of honey =780 kg/m³

Density of spirit =1420 kg/m³

Density of water =1000 kg/m³

To find : Relative density of honey and spirit.

Relative density :

Relative density is nothing but the density of the substance with respect to standard liquids, like water.

Calculating the relative density of Honey :

Relative density of honey = Density of honey / Density of water

                                           = 1420/1000

                                           = 1.42

Therefore, the Relative Density of honey is 1.42

Calculating the relative density of Spirit :

Relative density of honey = Density of spirit / Density of water

                                           = 780/1000

                                           = 0.78

Therefore, the Relative Density of spirit is 0.78

Quick fact :

Relative Density is a Unitless quantity.
