Calculate the relative density
of the liquid from the following
information:
Mass of empty relative
density bottle= 24.5g
Mass of the relative density bottle
filled with water = 56.2g
Mass of relatine density bottle

Hii Dear,

◆ Answer -

Relative density = 0.8423

◆ Explaination -

Mass of water in bottle -

Mw = 56.2 - 24.5

Mw = 31.7 g

Mass of liquid in water -

Ml = 51.2 - 24.5

Ml = 26.7 g

Volume of given liquid and water will be same as they fill same bottle.

Relative density of given liquid -

Dr = Dl / Dw

Dr = (Ml/V) / (Mw/V)

Dr = Ml / Mw

Dr = 26.7 / 31.7

Dr = 0.8423

Therefore, relative density of the liquid is 0.8423 .

Thanks.

Answer:

0.8738

Explanation:

Mass of empty bottle(M1g)= 24.5g

Mass of bottle filled with water(M2g) = 56.2g

Mass of bottle filled with liquid (M3g)=51.2g

*Mass of water=M2-M1

=56.2-24.5g

=31.7g

*Mass of liquid = M3-M1g

=51.2-24.5

=27.7

RD= Mass of substance ÷Mass of water at 4°c

= 27.7÷31.7

=0.8738
