Number of moles in 24.9 g of CuSO4.5H2O: number of moles = mass / molar mass = 24.9 / 249.72 = 0.100 mol.

Atomic mass of H = 1 g
atomic mass of O = 16 g
atomic mass of Cu =63.5 g
atomic mass of S = 32 g

now ,
molar mass of CuSO4.5H2O = atomic mass of Cu + atom mass of S + 4× atomic mass of O +5× {2 × atomic mass of H + atomic mass of O }

= 63.5 + 32 + 4× 16 +5 (2 + 16) g

=63.5 +32 + 64 + 90 g

= 249.5 g
