molecular mass of CH₃COONa =

(No of carbon atoms × Atomic Mass OF Carbon) + (No of hydrogen atoms × Atomic Mass OF Hydrogen) + (No of oxygen atoms × Atomic Mass OF Oxygen) + (No of sodium atoms × Atomic Mass OF Sodium)

= (2 × 12) + (3 × 1) + (2 × 16) + (1 × 23)

= 24 + 3 + 32 + 23
