Answer:

p(x) = x²+3x-6x-9 = x²-3x-9

According to theorem of rest , the polynomial p(x) when divided by (x-a), leaves the remainder, p(a)

=> Remainder = p(-1)

   p(-1) = (-1)² - 3×-1 - 9 = 1 + 3 - 9 = -5

   Remainder = -5
