Calculate the resistance of an aluminium cable of length 10 km and diameter 20 mm if the resistivity of aluminium is 2.7× 10^(-8) Ωm

R=pL/A
Where p is resistivity
Putting the values
R= 2.7(10^-8 ) 10 (10^3) /pie r^2
In question diameter is given as we know that r=d/2 so put this value in Above eq
R= 2.7(10^-8) 10(10^3) 4 /pie (20(10-3)^2
By solving without calculator we get
R= 0.8 ohm
