The resistance R then,
R=¶×L÷A
where, L is the length=60cm=0.6m
A is the cross section area=1 mm^2=(10^-6) m^2
and ¶ is the specific resistance.
then R=(26×10^-2 )×0.6÷(10^-6)
=156×10^3 ohm
=156 kilo ohm.

QUESTION:- Calculate the resistance of an aluminum wire of 60cm and area of cross section 1mm square given that the specific resistance of aluminum is 26x10^-2

ANSWER:- GIVEN

=> resistance =pL/A

=> length =60cm =0.6 m

=> p=26x10^-2

=>areas area of cross section 1mm2=(10^-6)m^2

=> R =. 26 x10^-2 x0.6/(10^-6)

=> 156x10^-3ohm
