calculate the resistivity of a conductor having a resistance of a 12 Omega having the diameter of 60 mm and a length of 20 cm​

We have,

  • Resistance of conductor = 12 \Omega
  • Diameter of conductor = 60 mm, radius = 30 mm = 0.03 m
  • Length of conductor = 20 cm = 0.2m

Now, the resistance;

R = ρ l/A

12 = ρ × 0.2/0.03

12 = ρ 20/3

12 × 3/20 = ρ

1.8 = p

Therefore, the resistivity of the conductor is 1.8 Ω m².
