Answer:

Team A force :

  • 100 N

Team B force :

  • 125 N

Solution :

Resultant force will be the difference of the two forces applied by Team A and Team B

  • 125 - 100
  • 25 N in direction of Team B

Other Solution :

  • 100 - 125
  • (-25) N in direction of Team A

in the game of tug of war ∅ is 180° because the rope is pulled from the opposite ends.

cos180° is -1

So, resultant = √100²+125²+2×100×125×(-1) = 25

∴ resultant is 25 N

Short Cut trick:-

when the ∅ is 180°, the resultant is simply the difference of the two vectors.

i.e 125-100 = 25 N

hope it's understandable :''D
