• Force applied on the object from left side to the right side = 10N.

• Force applied on the object from right side to the left side = -5N.

= Sum of all the forces applied on the

object.

= 10N + (-5).

= 10N - 5N.

= 5N.

☆ Hence, the resultant force of

the object is 5N.

● The Object will move from its place because we know that if the resultant force of the object is equal to zero then it is a balanced force and object will not move from its place but, in this case resultant force of the object is not equal to zero then it is a unbalanced force and object will move from its place.

● If one force is acting in the opposite direction to the another force is given a negative value. That's why here we take the value of force applied on the object from right direction "a negative value". We can also take the value of force applied on the object from left direction "a negative value".
