Answer:

Hey Buddy here's ur answer

No. Of Moles of NaOH (which is to be added) = 5/40 (Molar mass of NaOH =40) = 1/8 = 0.125

No. of Moles of NaOH in 250 ml soln (which is to be added) = 1 litre has 1/4 Moles of NaOH . So 1/4 litre of soln will have 1/16 Moles of NaOH.

Moles = 1/16 = 0.0625

After mixing total no. of Moles = 0.0625+0.125 = 0.1875 and volume of solution after mixing is 0.250 litre

So molarity = Moles of solute / volume of solution in litre

Molarity = 0.1875/0.2501 = 0.75 M
