principal  \: (p)  = rs. \: 8000  \\ rate \:(  r) = 4 \frac{1}{2} \% p.a=  \frac{9}{2}\%p.a \\ time \: ( t)= 2 \frac{1}{2}years =  \frac{5}{2}years \\ therefore \: s.i = \frac{p \times r \times t}{100} \\  = rs.( \frac{8000 \times 9 \times 5}{100 \times 2 \times 2}) \\  =rs . (20 \times 9 \times 5) = rs.900
