Answer

Here B is the mid point of the given semi circle,

TO FIND SPEED:-

time = 20 seconds

distance= πr/2 = (3.14* 40) / 2 = 62.8 m

speed = distance/time = 62.8/20 = 3.14m/s

TO FIND VELOCITY

So in order to find the velocity we need to find DISPLACEMENT

Here pay attention to displacement because if not paid attention u can get a whole different outcome to the question.

In order to find the displacement (S),

1.) Draw a straight line joining A and B.

2.) Draw a line joining center of semi circle (name it O)  to B

NOW WE HAVE A TRIANGLE = AOB

In the triangle AOB

AO = 40m

BO = 80m

AB = ?

Here, ∠AOB = 90°

AB = √ 40² + 80² ≈ 89

velocity = S/time = 89/20 = 4.45m/s

P.S. I tried my  best hope it helped.
