Given, square enclosed in a quarter (¼th part of the circle)

Side of the square = 14 cm

Here,in the picture as we see....

Diagonal of the square = radius of the circle.

Radius of the circle = √2 × (side of the square)

=> r = 14√2 cm

Area of the shaded region = Area of the quarter - area of the square.

Area of the quarter = ¼ × (πr²)

= ¼ × 22/7 × (14√2)²

= ¼ × 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 2

= 11×2×14

= 11 × 28

= 308 cm²

Area of the square = side × side

= 14 × 14

= 196 cm²

Area of the shaded region = 308 - 196

= 112 cm²
