Sₙ = n(n+1)/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let shade the 1 , 2 , 3  , 4

Now Cut the Shaded area

and match with unshaded area  ( rotate 180°)

Shaded Area = unshaded area

Shaded + Unshaded = 4 * 5

Shaded = 4 * 5/2

=> Sₙ = n(n+1)/2
