Answer:  546 kelvin

Explanation:

let the reading on the centigrade scale = x

temperature on absolute  scale  = 273  +  x

according to the question,

273 + x  =  2x

solving this equation

x = 273

so the temerature on celcius scale =  273 celcius

this means temperature on absolute scale =  273  + x  =   273  +  273

                                                                   =    546 kelvin

Given : Absolute scale value is twice the reading on centigrade scale.

To Find : Temperature on the absolute scale.

Solution :

Let the reading on the centigrade scale = C

temperature on absolute scale = 273  +  C

according to the question,

273 + C  =  2C

solving this equation

C = 273

Thus,

Temperature on centigrade scale = 273 Celsius

It means temperature on absolute scale = 273  + C  = 273 +273

Temperature on absolute scale =  546 kelvin.

Hence Temperature on the absolute scale is 546 K.
