As per question, it says that length is reduced to half of the original length i.e. 0.5l

t = (2*pi)*√L/g

t/(2*pi) = √L/g

t^2/(2*3.14)^2 = L/g

t^2*9.8/(6.28)^2 = 1/2

= 9.8t^2/39.25 = 0.5

= 9.8t^2 = 19.625

= t^2 = 2

= t = √2

= t = 1.414

Now, frequency = 1/t

= f = 1/√2

= f = 1/1.414

f = 0.7

It says that if the length of pendulum is reduced to half then, the time period will be reduced 1.414 times and the frequency reduced will be 0.7 times.
