Given :

  • Power of a bulb is 150 W .
  • Work Done is equal to 3000 J .

To Find :

  • Time Taken .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Power=150\:w}

\longmapsto\tt{Work\:Done=3000\:J}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Power=\dfrac{Work\:Done}{Time}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{150=\dfrac{3000}{t}}

\longmapsto\tt{t=\cancel\dfrac{3000}{150}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{t=20\:sec}

So , The Time taken by the bulb is 20 seconds ..

Power :

Power is defined as rate of doing work .

\tt{Power=\dfrac{Work\:Done}{Time}}

Work Done :

A work is said to be done when a force acted on a body displaces it upto a certain extend .

\tt{W=F\times{S}}

Given:

☄ Power of bulb, P = 150w

☄ Work done, W = 3000Joule

Find:

☄ What is the time taken by bulb

Solution:

we, know that

\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\sf P =  \dfrac{W}{t}}}}}

where,

  • P = 150w
  • W = 3000J

So,

 \to\sf P =  \dfrac{W}{t}

 \Longrightarrow\sf 150 =  \dfrac{3000}{t}

 \Longrightarrow\sf  \dfrac{150}{1} =  \dfrac{3000}{t}

 \Longrightarrow\sf 150t = 3000

 \Longrightarrow\sf t =   \cancel{\dfrac{3000}{150}} = 20sec

 \Longrightarrow\sf t = 20sec

Hence, the total time taken by the bulb is 20sec

 \rule{300}{2}
