Calculate the total number of air molecule in a room of capacity 25. m³ at a temperature of 27° C and 1 atm pressure.

Given:
Volume of room= V=25m³

temeperature=T=27°c=27+273=300K

Pressure=P=1 atm=1x 1.01 x10⁵ pascals

Formula :
PV=KB NT

KB is boltzmann constnat=1.38 x 10⁻²³m²kg/s²k

N is number of  air molecules in room:


⇒N=PV/KbT
=1.01 x10⁵ x 25/1.38 x 10⁻²³ x300
=6.11 x 10²⁶ number of molecules.

∴Total number of air molecules in a room is 6.11 x 10²⁶
