Calculate the total pressure exerted by 8 gram of oxygen and 8 gram of hydrogen in vessel of 2 cm 3 at 27 degrees

no. of moles of oxygen = 8 / 32 = 0.25

No. of moles of nitrogen = 14 / 28 = 0.5

Volume of the container = 11.2 Litre

temperature = 0°c or 0+ 273 = 273 K

assuming ideal gas behaviour

P = n RT / V

= 0.75 × 0.0821 ×273 /11.2

= 1.501 atm
