Given:-

  • Power of bulb = 40 W
  • Power of fan = 30 W
  • time period = 6 hours

To find:-

  • Total unit

Formula:-

\underline{\boxed{\sf Energy = power × time}}

Note:- power should be in KW with respect to hours.

Solution:-

  • 1 W = \sf\dfrac{1}{1000} KW

  • 40 W = \sf\dfrac{40}{1000} KW

  • 40 W = 0.04 KW

  • Similarly, 30 W = 0.03 KW

Total power = 0.04+0.03 = 0.07 KW

Energy = 0.07 × 6 = 0.42 units

hence, the amount of 0.42 units is consumed.
