Answer:

The Acceleration Due to Gravity is 0.01 m/s².

Explanation:

Given,

Effective length = 0.4 m

No. of Oscillations = 40

Time taken for Oscillations = 20s

Frequency = (40/20) Hz

= 2 Hz

Time Period = 1/f

= 1/2 s

= 0.5 s

Now,

Let the Acceleration be denoted as g.

T = 2\pi√l/g

= 0.5 = (2*3.14) √0.4/g

= 0.5/(2*3.14) = √0.4/g

= [(0.5)² / (2)² . (3.14)²] = 0.4/g

= [(0.5)² / (2)² . (3.14)² . 0.4] = g

= [0.25 / 15.77]  = g

= 0.01 m/s² = g

Hope this helps.
